Terri, I want to let you know how much I enjoyed the clinic . Bald eagle was a great place for us ladies to get together to learn & to shoot. The staff was most helpful & very friendly. I am looking forward to taking part in some of the upcoming shooting events.
I ENJOYED THE CLASSROOM INFORMATION, AND THE HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT! I HAVE NEVER HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO SHOOT DIFFERENT TYPES OF GUNS AND THIS WAS A GREAT WAY FOR ME TO DECIDE WHAT KIND OF GUN I ENJOYED! THE PUMP SHOTGUN WAS A BIT HEAVY, BUT I HIT 2 OUT OF 4 CLAY PIGEONS! I REALLY LIKED THE FEEL OF THE GLOCK 19, I THINK THIS MAY BE MY GUN OF CHOICE! BUT I ALSO THINK I SHOULD HAVE A RIFLE TOO SO I CAN GET GOOD AT BOTH STYLES.
I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed the day on Saturday despite the weather. Everyone there at Bald Eagle made me feel so welcome. The men helping us were wonderful and patient. I learned so much but I know I will not retain it all. I am already looking forward to another clinic. Neither my husband or I are members of a sportsman’s association at this time. We are seriously considering a membership with Bald Eagle. We are definitely going to take advantage of the pass that was given to us. Thank you and everyone that made time for us ladies! I am looking forward to the pistol clinic.
I was a participant in the “Women on Target” Instructional Shooting Clinic today @ Bald Eagle Sportsman’s Association. The day was highly structured and informative, complete with classroom and hands-on training. It was a complete blast!
The day wasn’t just limited to 1 or 2 pieces of weaponry-we had the opportunity to shoot multiple types of handguns, rifles and shotguns, to include trap shooting! In addition, we had the added bonus of a short lecture on pepper spray and self defense.
The “extra extra” bonus was the change to do archery. It was my first time, I loved it and may need to incorporate it into my other new sport of handgun training. Those two guys get a special, big shout-out from me!
This training was full of extras: printed materials, eye and ear protection, the use of firearms and ammunition, trap shooting, archery and hospitality (beverages, breakfast snacks, lunch and variety bowls of candy!!).
What was especially impressive about this experience was the pleasant and non-threatening atmosphere that can be attributed to yourself and all the fabulous volunteers from the Association who came out (giving up their free time) to help with the event. Everyone was so respectful, pleasant and interacted with us patiently and enthusiastically.
All in all, this was a tremendous value, with my time and money very well spent.
